Program Sustainability
Chosewood Park CDC has a successful track record of securing grant funds for ongoing Program Projects, including neighborhood maintenance, community engagement events, and contributing to our local civic groups. Through longstanding partnerships from organizations such as the Fund for Southern Communities, Lakewood Amphitheater Community Finance Committee Grant Program (LACFC), Community Improvements Grant (CIG) through NPU-Y from the City of Atlanta, Tools Atlanta, and donations from businesses and developers in the area, we are able to continue to serve the residents of Chosewood Park, and its surrounding neighborhoods within Southeast Atlanta.
Working closely with the civic group, Friends of Chosewood Park, we continue to coordinate and support volunteer workdays. In 2022 alone, volunteer hours totaled more than 700 hours in one year. Chosewood Park CDC and Friends of Chosewood Park have a long-standing relationships with Trees Atlanta, Park Pride, Hands On Atlanta, and corporate groups to fulfill volunteer needs.
